When I was teaching, the subject was just the reason we were together.  It was never the point of our class.  Does that make sense?  There was always a larger picture, a larger point to the time I spent with students.

Oh, I’ve asked this question.  Especially in the last month.  Why me?  Why is all this happening to me? What did I do to deserve this?

I’m so thankful for this experience.  Don’t get me wrong-I wouldn’t wish this on anyone else.  I just can’t stop thinking about all the wonderful things I’m learning as I go through this journey.  People say the nicest things, they do the nicest things, and everyone of us-no matter our current situation-is surrounded by things that should make you us feel really, really good.

My sophomore year in high school was not my finest moment.  I can’t really explain it.  I just wasn’t…with it somehow.
